Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Before Binghamton University grads don their caps and gowns this weekend, they say their final goodbyes to their favorite downtown watering holes.

Hundreds of students crawl their way from bar to bar, starting at Main Street and working their way down to State Street.

It's a right of passage for seniors and an end-of-year celebration for returning students.

For some, the goal is to drink all day and into the night or even early morning.

Thursday, students banded together, highlighting their groups with bright colored Bar Crawl 2012 t-shirts.

"If you're under 21 be really careful. If you're over 21 enjoy the day. It's the last time we have before graduation and have a great day," says BU Senior, Ariel Poser.

"I feel like pub crawl is the last time everybody gets to be together so we get to go bar to bar, see everybody from our class, you know interact. It's pretty much the last time we're together so it's a good time. I really like it," says BU Senior, Alex Wnorwski.

The University does not associate itself with the Pub Crawl.
