Oneonta, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Flash flooding was reported in Otsego County Monday night with water covering roadways and seeping into buildings.

Several roads in the area were flooded between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. Buildings were also damaged, including City Hall that had a few feet of water in places, according to Oneonta City police.

The Otsego County sheriff's office says fire crews continued to monitor flooded streets downtown Monday night.

Viewers sent photos to Action News that showed flowing water through the city's Main Street.

As of 12 a.m., Tuesday, the sheriff's office said County Highway 31 was closed between Cooperstown and Glimmerglass State Park, and County Route 11C between Route 28 and County Highway 33.

A few hours later, water receded and only some debris remains. All roads in Otsego County were opened by 3 a.m.
