Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Owego community walked through homes right in their community for a quick history lesson.
A home tour took groups around town to check out the inside of a few historical properties.
The Tioga County Council of the Arts hosts the event and says they're expecting to see around 200 people participate.
It's a walking tour where homeowners welcome guests and give a history of their property.
They showcase four homes and two businesses, most of which were impacted by the 2011 flood and had to be renovated.
"You know the spirit of the people here is amazing, it really is, other place have been flooded but in a year to bring it back so quickly, It's amazing," said Annette Schweiger of the Tioga County Council of the Arts.
After the tours there is an auction held at the Elk's Lodge.
All items were donated by the community to further help the Tioga County Council of the Arts.
"This gives the Arts Council operating money, which we desperately need, all non-profits do," said Schweiger.
