Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Water system repairs will affect water service on portions of Conklin Avenue tomorrow.

The city of Binghamton advises residents from Telegraph Street to 122 Conklin Ave. should not use the water service between 8 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 8.

Using water during that time could damage meter, pipes, appliances and clothing in the washing machine.

Water may have discoloration or cloudiness if used during the interrupted hours.

The city of Binghamton says they will not be responsible for any damage caused by the use of the water service during this time period.

The water department will flush all transmission lines after the work is completed, the city said in a statement.

The city is urging residents to check their cold water supply before using any water in their home. It may be necessary for residents to run cold water to clear their service.
