Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The first commitments have been released for 81 man field at the DICK'S Sporting Goods Open this summer.

DICK’S Sporting Goods Open Tournament Officials have announced the following commitments from three past Master's champions to the 2014 event: Larry Mize (1987), Mark O’Meara (1998), and Craig Stadler (1982).

Augusta native, Larry Mize, holed a memorable chip shot to defeat World Golf Hall of Fame Member, Greg Norman, on the second playoff hole.

Another World Golf hall of fame member, Seve Ballesteros, was eliminated on the first playoff hole.

Mize has a total of four PGA Tour victories to go along with his lone Champions Tour win at the 2010 Montreal Championship.

Mark O'Meara birdied holes number 17 and number 18 to win the 1998 Masters. O’Meara, whose career also includes a British Open victory, currently ranks 14th in Charles Schwab Cup Points after two Top 10 finishes thus far in 2014.

Fan favorite, Crag Sadler, defeated Dan Pohl in the Master’s first one-hole playoff. Stadler won the 2003 B.C. Open just a week after winning the Champions Tour’s Ford Senior Players Championship. Craig joins his son Kevin in this year’s Master’s Field.

“Starting our 2014 field with three Master’s Champions who have amassed 71 victories throughout the world continues to show the sheer strength of the Champions Tour,” said John Karedes, Tournament Director. “This is the tip of the iceberg as we anticipate one of the strongest tournament fields on the Champions Tour this year!” added Karedes. “I anticipate the strength of our Rookie Class will create some additional excitement at En-Joie this August, similar to what we saw in Mississippi a few weeks ago.”

The 2014 DICK’S Sporting Goods Open will be hosted at the En-Joie Golf Course in Endicott from August 11 to 17.
