Police: Man refuses to pull over, charged with DWI

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police arrested and charged a man with driving while intoxicated after he refused to pull over.

Thomas Rosa, 54, of Johnson City, committed a traffic violation on Willow Street, according to police.

They tried pulling him over, but Rosa refused and drove several blocks to his driveway where he was apprehended.

Police charged him with driving while intoxicated, driving with a blood alcohol content greater than 0.08 percent and aggravated DWI, all of which are felonies due to a prior conviction within the past 10 years.

He was also charged with operating a motor vehicle without an interlock device, a misdemeanor, and failure to comply with lawful order, a traffic infraction.

He is scheduled in court on Oct. 16.
