Second Homicide Victim Identified, Suspect Arrested

Great Bend Township, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Pennsylvania State Police identify the second victim in Saturday's double homicide.

Police found the body of Gilberto Alvarez, 28, off Pine Ayre Road on Saturday. Alvarez recently moved to Pennsylvania from Florida for work. Police say he was staying with Joshua Rogers. Rogers, 30, of New Milford was the other victim identified in Saturday's double homicide.

Pennsylvania State Police of Gibson say Lloyd Richard Thomas, 45, of Hallstead is charged with two counts of criminal homicide. Thomas was arraigned in New Milford and booked in the Susquehanna County Jail without bail.

Police responded to Pine Ayre Road in Great Bend just after 1 P.M. Saturday for reports of a man's body found along the side of the road. After searching the area, Police found another body up the hill. The two men had suffered gunshot wounds and police say the shots were not self-inflicted.
