(WBNG Binghamton) Tompkins County and the City of Ithaca want to continue to ensure its residents are staying prepared and aware of the storm.
Tompkins County is under a high wind warning starting Monday afternoon and continuing through Tuesday evening, as well as a flood watch through early Tuesday evening.
The county cautions that high winds and downed trees could be the cause of extensive power outages.
Tompkins county suggests keeping tuned in to your local news sources, removing any loose objects from outside, stay away from downed wires, and periodically check in with neighbors who may have medical needs.
