Ramsaran indicted by grand jury for murder

Ganesh "Remy" Ramsaran has been indicted by a grand jury for murder in the second degree; he will be arraigned next week.

Norwich, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Ganesh "Remy" Ramsaran was indicted Thursday afternoon by a Chenango County grand jury for murder in the second degree. He will be arraigned next week, according to Chenango County District Attorney Joseph McBride.

Ramsaran was arrested last week for the murder of of his wife, 36-year-old Jennifer Ramsaran.

Ramsaran will face an arraignment for the charges next Tuesday.

Ramsaran was released on $300,000 bond Wednesday from the Chenango County Correctional Facility.

The bond was signed for by a bondsman.

There are no conditions for his release, according to the Chenango County Sheriff's Office.

Jennifer Ramsaran was reported missing by her husband in early December 2012 after she had reportedly left for a shopping trip to Syracuse.

Ramsaran's body was found in the town of Pharsalia at the end of February.

Ramsaran was arrested May 17 by the Chenango County Sheriff's Office after the completion of an autopsy report earlier that week.
