Hallstead, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Friends and family remember two men killed over the weekend in Susquehanna County.

Police found the body of Gilberto Alvarez, 28, off Pine Ayre Road on Saturday. Alvarez recently moved to Pennsylvania from Florida for work. Police say he was staying with Joshua Rogers. Rogers, 30, of New Milford was the other victim identified in Saturday's double homicide.

Friends and family gathered to say goodbye to Rogers and Alvarez.

They lit candles and decorated a tree with memories near where their bodies were found.

Alvarez's friends tell us he always put a smile on their faces.

"We're doing a candlelight vigil for them, putting flowers out. People can talk and just reminisce about how they knew them, and the things they would do. Just good memories," said April Albro.

Lloyd Richard Thomas, 45, is charged with their killings.

He remains in the Susquehanna County Jail without bail.
