Bradford County, PA (WBNG Binghamton) Robert Leone, the man who was beaten by Pennsylvania State Troopers in 2010 in Bradford County has been released from jail.
Footage from a YouTube video that has over 600,000 views sparked national outrage.
In the video, Pennsylvania State Troopers appear to be abusing Leone both physically and verbally after he led them on a low speed pursuit through northern Pennsylvania.
Leone has a lawsuit pending against several Pennsylvania State Troopers.
The lawsuit claims the officers used excessive force in the arrest of Leone back in March of 2010.
Judge Richard Caputo denied the request to dismiss a lawsuit, accusing Pennsylvania State police of brutality, meaning that lawsuit still stands.
Leone was convicted of simple assault, resisting arrest, fleeing or attempting to elude an officer and an accident involving damage for the hit and run.
He filed a civil lawsuit in federal court in March against the Towanda Borough and the officers involved.
Judge Richard Caputo denied the Borough of Towanda's request to dismiss the lawsuit.
