Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Spring is finally here and an annual show wants you to drive off in your dream getaway.

The eighth annual Binghamton Camper and RV Show is this weekend at the Binghamton University Events Center.

Vendors say the location is what brings buyers to the event year after year.

"It's centrally located so you get people from Pennsylvania, other states, even from Jersey come up here,” said John Manning, a salesperson with Herman’s RV.

Hundreds of people packed the events center to check out the markets newest RVs on Saturday.

Manning said there is no specific RV that draws the most attention because each buyer is looking for something different.

"So to say which is more popular, it depends on who's walking down to here,” Manning said.

Manning believes there are three types of RV buyers: the new buyer, who is interested in purchasing an introductory vehicle, families looking for more space for the kids, and the retired couple wanting to downgrade to a more manageable vehicle.

"We've been looking for a more enclosed camper now that we're getting older we just want something contained more,” said Nancy Hirst. “We've gone from tent camping when the kids were younger to pop up and now we're ready for something a little bit different."

The show has a wide array of RVs to serve all the costumers’ needs.

Tickets are $8 for adults, $7 for senior citizens and children under the age of 12 get in for free. The final day for the annual event is Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
