Seven arrested during DWI checkpoint and patrols

Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) New York State Police teamed up with Johnson City Police and Broome County Security arrested five people during a DWI checkpoint on Parade Day.

The checkpoint was at the intersection of Main Street and Lester Avenue in Johnson City.

Troopers made the following arrests: 
 

John J. Durgala, 23, of Johnson City
Authorities say Durgala was driving drunk with three week old baby in the vehicle with him.
Charges:
-Aggravated DWI, felony
-Aggravated unlicensed operation (3 or more open suspensions)
-Unlawful possession of marihuana
-Traffic violations. 
 
David T. Scott, 35, of Endicott
State police said Scott had a blood alcohol content result of .13 percent.
Charge:
-Driving while intoxicated
 
Jonathan M. Pack, 27, of Sayre, PA
State police said Pack had a blood alcohol content result of .16 percent.
Charge:
-Driving while intoxicated
 
John W. Derose, 29, of Johnson City
Charge:
-Unlawful possession of marihuana
 
Tesheara L. Gould, 18, of Binghamton
Charge:
 -Unlawful possession of marihuana
 
Troopers made two other DWI arrests on regular patrol on March 1:
 
Gregory M. Buell, 20, Fairport
State police said Buell had a blood alcohol content result of .16 percent.
Charge:
-Driving while intoxicated
 
David J. Ward, 31, Hallstead, PA
State police said Ward had a alcohol content result of .13 percent.
Charge:
-Driving while intoxicated
