Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Chenango Street, between Moffatt Avenue and Sturges Street, will be closed for two days next week. Detour signs and a shuttle bus for pedestrians will be provided.
The road will close at 6 a.m. July 28 and reopen at 6 p.m. July 30, weather permitting, according to the Department of Transportation.
Construction crews will be working to remove the bridge over Chenango Street.
The DOT said detour signs will be in place to guide drivers around the work zone.
A shuttle bus will be available for pedestrians and bicyclists to safely move around the construction zone.
The shuttle bus will travel a continuous loop around the detour route and will have two pick-up locations: the intersection of Chenango Street and Morgan Street and the intersection of Chenango Street and Sturges Street.
