Oneonta, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A major Otsego County drug trafficking ring takes a big hit with the recent arrests of six people. One of those arrested -- 25-year-old Anays Garcia, of New York City -- is a lynch pin in the operation, according to Otsego County investigators. She was arrested Feb. 17 while visiting her boyfriend Jose "Flip" Rodriguez, who is also a major Otsego County drug trafficker now serving a 40-year sentence at the Downstate Correctional Facility. Investigators said Garcia had been directing the drug trafficking ring from New York City since 2012. She was taken to the Otsego County Jail without bail. Also arrested was Anthony Kinloch, 20, of Jamaica, N.Y., who was taken into custody Dec. 17 after leading investigators on a foot chase. They approached him while performing surveillance on the Oneonta Bus Station on Market Street, since buses were being more commonly used to transport drugs from the area to New York City. Kinloch was eventually found behind the Damaschke Field in Neahwa Park and take to the Otsego County Jail on $20,000 bail. Investigators also arrested 24-year-old Louis Medina, of New York City, at the bus station after they uncovered 200 packets of heroin on him valued at $8,000. Medina was taken to the Otsego County Jail on $20,000 bail. Three more men connected to the drug ring were arrested Dec. 7 after a traffic stop uncovered 209 bags of heroin valued at $8,180 hidden in a playstation gaming console located in the back seat. They are Daniel Parrotte, 24, of Mt Upton; Eric Doherty, 22, of Unadilla; and Azar Hughes, 24, of Oneonta. They were all taken to the Otsego County Jail on $25,000 bail.
