(WBNG Binghamton) Price Chopper stores are challenging families to make healthy decisions together. It's all apart of the store's Family Meal Time Matters Campaign.
It's Price Chopper's fourth annual event, working with the Cornell Cooperative Extension and Eat Smart New York.
There were registered dietitians and nutrition educators at participating stores in Broome County, encouraging shoppers to make a commitment to quality family time through healthy and budget conscious meals.
The Family Mealtime Matters Campaign also encourages families to spend the next four weeks counting and improving mealtime as a family.
The campaign suggests making a list before heading to the grocery store and planning meals ahead of time. Price Chopper says by planning ahead, there's less stress involved in cooking the meals, and more time to enjoy family time.
