Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Before the St. Patrick's Parade stepped off and the celebrations started, some people took the time to reflect on their faith. St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church on Fayette Street was filled with people celebrating mass. The church was so full that people were standing in the aisles and lobby. Parade Marshal Chris Guiton says the parade may be the main focus on Saturday, but faith is a large part of the Irish culture that many people treasure. He says on the day of the annual St. Patrick's Parade, the church is normally filled to capacity.
