Three arrested for making meth in Cortland

Cortland, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Police discover multiple one pot meth labs during a drug investigation.

The Cortland County Sheriff's Department executed a search warrant at 143 Penguin Drive in the Town of Cortlandville on Friday.

Five one pot meth labs and several items used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine were confiscated and secured.

The home was occupied by Arvin L. Strauf, 51, Catherine A. Glave, 28, and Arvin L. Strauf Jr., 19.

Arvin L. Strauf and Catherine Glave were charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, class D felony, Criminally Using Drug Paraphernalia in the 1st Degree, class D felony, Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material, class E felony, Criminal Possession of Precursors of Methamphetamine, Class E felony, and Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the 3rd Degree, class D Felony.

Arvin L. Strauf Jr. was charged with Unlawful Manufacturing of Methamphetamine in the 3rd Degree, class D felony, Unlawful Disposal of Methamphetamine Laboratory Material, class E felony, and Criminal Possession of Precursors of Methamphetamine, class E felony.

All three were arraigned in the Town of Cortlandville Court.

Arvin L. Strauf was sent to the Cortland County Jail without bail.

Catherine A. Glave was sent to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $5,000 cash of $10,000 bond.

Arvin L. Strauf Jr. was sent to the Cortland County Jail in lieu of $500 cash of $1,000 bond.

The Cortland County Sheriff's Department, New York State Police Contaminated Crime Scene Emergency Response Team, Environmental Protection Service and Cortlandville Fire Department all assisted at the scene.
