Town of Tioga man accused of killing housemate due in court

Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The town of Tioga man accused of stabbing and killing his roommate is scheduled to appear in court.

Douglas Every, 62, will appear in Tioga County Court at 1:30 p.m. Friday for a pretrial hearing.

Every is accused of stabbing Milton Jump, 39, in the chest during an argument that took place in October 2013. Police said the incident happened in the residence they shared at 281 Thorn Hollow Rd. in Tioga Center.

He was charged with 2nd degree murder and tampering with evidence.

According to the victim's family, Every and Jump were involved in a relationship years ago but were only roommates at the time of Jump’s death.

Every was a real estate agent in the area and, according to his website, his office was on 405 Main St. in Owego.

The owner of the building said Every had not worked there since May of 2013.
