Town of Chenango, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Broome County Sheriff's Office responded to Tioga State Bank at 1430 Upper Front Street around 1:30 p.m. Tuesday.

Mark Cunningham, 55, of Binghamton has been charged with felony robbery.

Captain Fred Akshar said no weapon was displayed, but said Cunningham handed a note to the teller who gave him an undisclosed amount of cash.

Cunningham then took off in a sport utility vehicle.

“An employee of the bank did a very good job and I'd like to give that employee some kudos, which are deserved today,” said Capt. Akshar. “They gave very good information on the suspect, what he looked like what he was wearing, and the vehicle he was operating."

New York State troopers caught Cunningham a few miles away at the Mirabito gas station on Route 11 in the Town of Barker.

He was then brought back to the bank where the sheriff's office took him in to custody.
