Town of Union, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Broome Leadership Institute toasted their 26th graduating class Thursday night.

The community leadership program started in September and had two full day sessions twice a month.

During those sessions, members get an inside look into businesses in Broome County.

Matt Sheehan, a 2013 graduate, grew up in Binghamton. He the program taught him so much more about the community.

"Every two weeks that I went to BLI I learned something new, which is hard to believe because you wouldn't think you would learn something new about a town that you've been in this long," Sheehan said.

BLI is sponsored by the Greater Binghamton Education Outreach Program, an affiliate organization of the Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce.
