Town of Lisle declares state of emergency

Lisle, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The town of Lisle has declared a state of emergency late Wednesday due to heavy rain that exceeded six inches.

The state of emergency was placed at 6 p.m. Wednesday and will continue until no later than 6 p.m. Sept. 16.

Town Supervisor Edward Gehm has asked for residents to avoid unnecessary travel.
