Traffic stop leads to meth lab bust

Town of Barker, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A traffic stop leads to the bust of a meth lab in the Town of Barker.

New York State Police pulled over a vehicle driven by Erik J. Muller, 50, at approximately 2 p.m., Monday.

Police were alerted to Muller through its community narcotics enforcement team.

They found his vehicle had an expired registration.

After towing Muller's vehicle back to his home at his request, troopers said they found evidence in plain sight of items used to manufacture and package methamphetamine.

Muller's charges include unlawful manufacture of methamphetamine in the third degree and two counts of criminally using drug paraphernalia in the second degree.

He was arraigned and taken to the Broome County Jail without bail.

The investigation is ongoing.
