Trial Date Set for Woman Charged in Fatal Accident

Town of Fenton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) It's been nearly one year since three people died in a fatal accident in the Town of Fenton. Now, a trial date has been set for the woman charged with three counts of vehicular manslaughter and driving while intoxicated.

A trial is set to begin in Broome County Court on October 15.

On May 20, 2011 a Ford Explorer went off Interstate 88 west and into the Chenango River.

In September, a Broome County Grand Jury indicted Jaclyn Wesley, 23, of Binghamton on 10 counts.

Wesley was the only survivor of the crash after escaping from the vehicle and getting to shore.

The bodies of Carri Michalski, 39, of Binghamton, Robert Moorehead, 25, of Port Crane, and Robert Marshall, 45, of Binghamton were later recovered from the river.
