(WBNG Binghamton) Traffic is reduced to a single lane on Route 17 East before exit 64.

A Lopke Inc. truck spilled its load just before 7:30 Monday morning. The truck was carrying gravel.

Owego and Nichols fire crews alongside a New York State Police commercial vehicle were at the crash site.

According to Owego police officer Daryl Dibble, the driver of the vehicle lost control, but he said they are still investigating why.

No serious injuries were reported. As a precaution, the driver was sent to the hospital.

It is unknown when both lanes will reopen.
