Two Arrested, Charged With Murder In Corning Man's Death

Corning, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Two Elmira residents are arrested and charged with murder, after a Corning man is found dead in his apartment Saturday morning.

Clark Van Etten, 26, was found dead around 9:30 Saturday morning in his apartment on Park Avenue in Corning.

State Police arrested Marland Brooks, 38, and Samantha Smith, 28, Monday night. Each are charged with Second Degree Murder.

State Police say the duo were acquaintances of Van Etten.

They were expected to be arraigned Monday night, then sent to the Steuben County Jail without bail.

Police say no one else is believed to be involved in the incident.

The investigation continues.
