Two Binghamton men busted for heroin

Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) During a traffic stop, police find nearly 300 bags of suspected heroin.

On March 7, the Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force, assisted by the Binghamton Police Community Response Team, arrested two men following the execution of a narcotics search warrant during a traffic stop in downtown Binghamton.

Police say Darnell Robinson, of Binghamton, was in possession of 220 envelopes containing suspected heroin, one plastic knotted wrap containing marijuana and $5,087 in cash.

Antoine L. Lovejoy, of Binghamton, was in possession of 79 envelopes containing suspected heroin and $198.

Robinson and Lovejoy are each charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance in the third degree, which is a felony. Robinson is also charged with unlawful possession of marijuana.

The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force is comprised of members of the Broome County Sheriff Office, City of Binghamton Police Department and Village of Johnson City Police Department.
