Two arrested in connection with strong-armed robbery

Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The Tioga County Sheriff's Office took two suspects into in custody following after someone was robbed of prescription drugs in a Rite Aid parking lot.

Dale Menendez, 33, allegedly took medication from a victim Dec. 9 in the parking lot of Rite Aid on Main Street.

They said Lisa Kleine, 35, helped Menendez.

Both Kleine and Menendez share an address on Talcott Street.

The sheriff's office says the Dec. 9 incident is the first of two robberies to occur at the Main Street Rite Aid, according to a news release. The second -- an armed robbery -- remains under investigation by the Owego Police Department, the sheriff's office said.

Kleine and Menendez were arraigned in Town of Owego Court and sent to the Tioga County Jail on $50,000 bail.
