Two robberies in Town of Union

(WBNG Binghamton) Two businesses just miles apart were robbed in the town of Union within minutes Wednesday night.

The first robbery happened a little before 9:30 at the Valero gas station 3225 East Main St.

New York State Police released a partial description of the suspect in the Valero hold up. They said a black man entered the store and drew a knife on the clerk. It's unknown whether he made off with any money.

He was last seen wearing a brown and white ski mask standing between 5'3 and 5'6, he ran off on foot toward Avenue B, troopers said. Scanner reports also reported the suspect wearing light blue jeans.

The Stop and Shop at 109 Washington Ave. in Endicott was robbed a little after 9:30 Wednesday night.

Endicott Police are searching for a black male. Scanner reports said he displayed a kitchen knife, took the drawer of the cash register, and took off going north on Washington Avenue.

Emergency communications said he was wearing dark clothing and a hoodie.

Vestal Police and a K-9 unit were on the scene at 11 p.m.
