Sheriff deputy's vehicle hit in crash

Endicott, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Two people were taken to the hospital Thursday morning after a multi-car crash on Route 26.

According to Deputy Daniel Balmer of the Broome County Sheriff's Office, it happened around 8:30 a.m. near Carl Street.

Deputy Balmer told Action News that a car parked on the side of the road was hit by a vehicle. West Corners Fire Department and the Broome County Sheriff's Office responded to the accident.

While they were there, a West Corners fire department pick-up truck was hit by another car. The car then hit the rear bumper of Deputy Balmer's patrol car.

Two people were taken to the hospital with "apparent minor injuries".
