(WBNG Binghamton) The Broome County Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the death of a 21 year old town of Dickinson man who was found dead in Vestal on Monday.

The death of 21-year-old David Fillers remains labeled as suspicious.

The Broome County Sheriff's office says it has no new leads but we do know a little more about Fillers.

Sheriff's deputies found Fillers body on Monday morning behind the Quality Inn in Vestal.

One of Fillers friends heard from him for the last time early Sunday morning.

"And at that time he indicated that he was OK and in Vestal," says Broome County Sheriff, David Harder.

But Fillers never returned home and was later reported missing on Sunday.

Investigators are waiting on complete autopsy results.

Broome County Undersheriff Alex Minor says they are trying to get toxicology reports back as soon as possible.

Still, it could take two to three weeks.

Deputies have also interviewed with friends who were out with Fillers on New Year's Eve, before he was separated from the group.

Minor says Fillers attended Broome Community College but was working a job in construction out of town.

He's a gradate of Chenango Valley High School where his brother, Mike Fillers, currently attends.

Interim Superintendent David Gill says staff and counselors are on hand to help students cope.

One of Fillers friends has made a memorial page on Facebook for people to post pictures of David and share memories.

Another brother, Jon Fillers, has posted a message on his Facebook asking anyone with information about what may have happened to David to please call the Sheriff's Office.

The tip line number is 778-1196.

A manager of the Quality Inn in Vestal tells Action News employees working over the weekend have said they did not see anything suspicious.
