Vestal prostitution sting results in four arrests

Vestal, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Vestal Police arrested four people during a joint prostitution sting with New York State Police Special Investigations Unit.

Heather Delaney, 38, Port Crane, Shannon Gent, 22, Endicott, and Ashley Scoop, 25, Binghamton, were all charged with prostitution, a class A misdemeanor.

The three women were arraigned in Vestal Town Court and remanded to the Broome County Jail for New York State Public Health Law. The law requires anyone arrested for prostitution to undergo a venereal disease examination within 24 hours of arraignment.

Aung Soe, 34, Ithaca, was charged with patronizing a prostitute, a class B misdemeanor.

Soe was released on bail. Soe is scheduled to appear in Vestal Court sometime in the future.

Vestal Police said they arrested the four on Thursday in the Town of Vestal.
