(WBNG Binghamton) A Wayland man has been arrested for endangering the welfare of a child.
The Steuben County Sheriff's Office arrested Nicholas S. Ayers, 28, Friday.
Deputies say they responded to a residence in Fremont on May 6 for a domestic dispute.
Ayers had violated an order of protection.
After investigation, deputies arrested Ayers. He was processed and arraigned in the Town of Fremont Court.
Ayers was charged with criminal contempt in the second degree and endangering the welfare of a child.
He is scheduled to return to court at a later date.
