Cooperstown, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The father of a young man who shot a classmate in Cooperstown is charged with aggravated harassment relating to website constructed about his son's case.
Tony Pacherille, 45, of Herkimer and his brother, Angelo David Pacherille, 55, of Maryland were both arraigned on the charge of Aggravated Harassment in Otsego County Supreme Court on Wednesday.
Anthony Pacherille, 18, of Cooperstown was sentenced to serve eleven years for Attempted Murder in July, 2011.
Anthony shot and wounded classmate Wesley Lippit after chasing Lippit from Cooper Park to the Cooperstown Police Station in April, 2010.
In May 2011, a woman from the Town of Otsego filed a complaint with the Otsego County Sheriff's Office.
She reported a website had been constructed that was harassing to her and her family.
The Sheriff's office obtained a search warrant and seized three laptop computers from the home of Tony Pacherille on Walnut Street in Cooperstown.
Pacherille no longer lives there and now resides in Herkimer.
The Digital Forensics Laboratory at the Utica Police Department found one of those laptops was used to set up parts of the website.
The sheriff's office and Otsego County District Attorney's Office continued to investigate.
They determined Tony Pacherille and his brother Angelo Pacherille were involved in the creation and publication of an alarming, annoying and harassing post on the website in May 2011.
A criminal summons was issued to both men when they voluntarily came to the Otsego County Sheriff's Office in October 2012.
Wednesday, the men were released on their own recognizance after their arraignment.
If convicted they face up to a year in the Otsego County Jail.
Investigators have not released the name of the woman who filed the complaint.
On the website, Tony Pacherille wrote about an upcoming trial for annoying Craig Lippit, the father of Wesley Lippit.
