Binghamton, NY (WBNG Binghamton) Incumbent Senator Kirsten Gillibrand's republican challenger visits Binghamton.

Wendy Long is keeping busy with the election just 11 days away.

She is focused on getting her message out of what needs to be done to help fix New York State's economy.

"Going ahead and drilling for natural gas is what would just cause this economy to take off like a rocket. Bring back manufacturing and really create well paying jobs all across the state, especially in the Southern Tier," said Wendy Long (R).

Long said that natural gas drilling has been proven to be safe with very little environmental issues in states like Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Ohio and North Dakota. And after taking four years to investigate the possible environmental impact it is time to move forward.
