Norwich, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A long day filled with many , "I don't remember" responses from witnesses in Chenango County Court.

It's day three of testimony in the third murder trial for Peter Wlasiuk, accused of killing his wife Patricia in 2002.

For the second time in the trial a witness testified she believes Peter was faking being cold and shaking.

The volunteer firefighter said Peter seemed to be "theatrical " and faking in his reaction to the incident.

In April 2002, Peter and Patricia's truck went into Guilford Lake off Route 35 where her body was recovered.

That volunteer firefighter also told jurors Peter showed no signs of hypothermia and his hair was dry.

A witness whose home Peter went to for help told Jurors Peter's pony tail was wet but the top of his hair was dry.

She also said she smelled alcohol on Patricia while assisting in CPR.

Another responder who performed CPR on Patricia says he could taste beer while giving her mouth to mouth.

The prosecution and defense often received an answer of "I don't remember" rather than yes or no to questions.

Also, witnesses had trouble remembering what they said in previous testimony, or according to previous statements the defense entered as evidence, they gave more and or different information in later statements.

The defense asked witnesses in great detail , how Patricia's body was handled while being removed from the water and during resuscitation efforts.

The trial continues Tuesday morning.
