Norwich, NY (WBNG Binghamton) The first day of jury deliberations in Peter Wlasiuk's third murder trial end without a verdict.

In Chenango County Court, Judge Joseph Cawley gave instructions to the jury reminding them any references to previous trials should not impact this case.

Wlasiuk is accused of killing his wife, Patricia, in 2002.

Two prior convictions were thrown out on appeal.

Jurors asked for writing materials and were supplied with a chalkboard.

The prosecution said Peter smothered Patricia at their home on Oxford and staged an accident at Guilford Lake with their truck.

The defense says she drowned when the truck went into the lake.

Deliberations ended by 4:00 p.m. Friday and will resume Monday.
