Owego Woman Died in Route 434 Crash

Town of Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A woman who drove a school bus for the Owego Apalachin School district died in a two car crash Friday.

Nancy McQueeney of Owego was 49.

A school district spokesperson said McQueeney was passionate about her work and her community.

Action News had spoken to McQueeney in the past about the Traci's Hope.

McQueeney was a close friend of Traci Gibson who started the charity during her battle with breast cancer.

On Friday two cars hit head on around 3:30 pm on Route 434 near the Owego Town Hall.

One driver was taken to Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre. The other driver was taken to Wilson Hospital in Johnson City.

New York State Police have not released further information on the crash.
