Reed is a general assignment reporter for WBNG. He joined the station in June, 2008. Reed is excited to be working in the Southern Tier, taking Interstate 81 an hour south from where he went to school in Syracuse.
Reed graduated from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications with a degree in Broadcast Journalism in 2008. Additionally, he majored in Political Science with a minor in Geography.

In the summer of 2007 Reed got a taste for what working at a TV station would be like when he interned at WUSA 9 in Washington, D.C. During his time there, he covered a variety events ranging from Redskins training camp, Nationals baseball, Tiger Woods’ golf tournament and the Legg Mason Golf Tournament.

Reed was born in Great Falls, Virginia, just outside the Nation’s Capital. He graduated Langley High School in 2004.

In his free time Reed enjoys reading the Washington Post, running, playing the guitar, and watching the Washington Nationals and endless re-runs of HBO’s The Wire.
