Advanced Planning seminars, Around the Tiers

(WBNG Binghamton) April 16 is National Health care Decisions day and Action for older persons will be holding Advanced Planning seminars throughout next week. Rebecca Bradley came by to tell us more.

National Healthcare Decisions Day exists to inspire, educate & empower the public & providers about the importance of advance care planning.

National Health care Decisions Day is an initiative to encourage patients to express their wishes regarding health care and for providers and facilities to respect those wishes, whatever they may be.

We will be holding Advanced Planning seminars during the week of April 15-19.

Seminars will be on April 16 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m.

April 17 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. April 19 at 2 p.m.

If people are interested they must call Action for Older Persons at 722-1251 to register for one of those sessions.

We will give them information about Health care Proxy's, living wills and Do not resuscitate orders.

We also offer one on one sessions to those who request them.

These seminars are offered free of charge.
