(WBNG Binghamton) Matthews Ford and the Northeast Classic Car Museum have announced a partnership to celebrate the 50th Anniversary of the Ford Mustang which kicks off on April 17th.
According to a news release:
It begins with free admission to the museum on April 19 and culminates with the 9th Annual Mustang Rally at Matthews Ford on June 21st.
The Northeast Classic Car Museum opens a special exhibit on April 19th featuring the 1964 ½, 1967 and 2014 Ford Mustang convertibles. The ’67 is being raffled to benefit the Northeast Classic Car Museum. Matthews Ford is offering free admission to the Museum on Saturday April 19th from 9am to 5pm. Tickets can be picked up at Matthews Ford in Norwich now through Saturday the 19th with a limit of 4 free tickets per household. Tickets are valued at $9 each and are good only on April 19th. The Syracuse Mustang Club will also be in attendance that day. Other activities and events will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Mustang Rally starts at 6pm on June 21st and features live music, food vendors and fireworks after dark at the Chenango County Fair Grounds. This date has been moved from the traditional Father’s Day weekend to accommodate special guest Jerome Malinowski, one of the original designers of the Ford Mustang. Mr. Malinowski will present “The Enigma of the American Icon- The DNA of the Ford Mustang”, with Q & A to follow, at the Northeast Classic Car Museum on June 21st (time to be determined) and will be available to meet Mustang owners at the Mustang Rally at Matthews Ford at 7pm. The presentation is free and attendees have the option of touring the museum at a discounted rate
