(WBNG Binghamton) If you or a family member is a resident of a nursing home or assisted living facilities, Action for Older Persons is here to help make long term living easier. Rebecca Bradley was in the studio more.

A certified long-term ombudsman is a professionally trained and certified advocate who resolves issues with long term care facilities on behalf of residents and their families.

The role of the ombudsman is to visit residents and discuss with them their experience of living in a long-term care community.

They can assist to resolve conflicts and get people back on track to happy living.

Conflicts include a myriad of things from soggy toast to more personal matters.
