(WBNG Binghamton) Tim Mollen's Improv Comedy Night is happening this weekend in Vestal. Chris Baker and Francine Stein stopped by to tell us about it.

The event begins at 8 p.m. on March 9 at the JCC at 500 Clubhouse Road in Vestal.

General Admission tickets are $10 and may be purchased at the door.

Open to the entire community, the Binghamton JCC is pleased to offer an evening of top-notch improv comedy.

Recent graduates of Tim Mollen's workshop program will take over the JCC stage at 8 pm on Saturday, March 9.

Audience participation will be a key ingredient in this lively and unpredictable performance.

Mollen is a native of Binghamton, and a graduate of the Theatre Department at SUNY Oswego.

While at Oswego, he founded an improv comedy troupe called The Shaun Cassidy Fan Club, which is now a campus institution celebrating its 22nd season.

After college, Mollen moved to Chicago, where he attended the legendary Second City Improv Conservatory.

For the next ten years, he performed and wrote comedy in the Washington, DC area.

He spent a year as a writer/performer with the nationally renowned political comedy troupe Gross National Product.

As a member of Washington's ComedySportz troupe, he developed his own workshop program to introduce students to the exhilarating world of improv comedy.

Because the material will be unscripted, parental guidance is suggested.
