Around the Tiers: Kids' Bookfest

(WBNG Binghamton) Stories, art and learning how to create their own stories is all part of Kids' Bookfest over at the Discovery Center.

Join for a day-long celebration of books and reading! Admission to the Discovery Center is free all day for families with a library card.

The Four County Library System Cybermobile will be on site to issue cards to children and parents. Melanie Hope Greenberg, creator of Mermaids on Parade, Supermarket, and many more will be our featured author/illustrator.

Schedule:
11 a.m. - 12 p.m.
Author presentation and booksigning Noon Parade with mermaids, Neptune, sea creatures, pirates & more!
1 p.m. - 2:30 p.m.
Special story creation workshop with Melanie Hope Greenberg. Ages 8 and up.

Throughout the Day • Hands-on activities hosted by community agencies • Books will be available for sale and signing • Gently used book exchange-bring a book, take a book • Food and beverages will be sold
