(WBNG Binghamton) March is national nutrition month. This year's theme is cancer prevention. UHS Radiation Oncologist Julie Douglass came by to talk about ways to talk about some ways to combat the disease.
According to Douglass, researchers estimate that 35 percent of all cancer has some sort of nutritional connection.
Research also suggests that a healthy diet is a good way to prevent getting cancer.
Douglas stressed that what we eat makes a big difference in our energy level, our ability to fight illness and maintain good overall health.
