Around the Tiers: Ross Park Zoo Grand Opening

(WBNG Binghamton) Steve Contento and Dave Orndorff shows off an alligator and a snake to promote the Binghamton Ross Park Zoo grand opening.

The Binghamton Zoo at Ross Park is set to celebrate their 138 Grand Opening the weekend of April 20 and 21. They are also partnering with Earth Day Southern Tier and Roberson Museum to offer a discount to the zoo on Saturday, April 20.

Anyone who visits Earth Fest, located at BCC, or Roberson that day will receive a $2.00 discount at the zoo. For those who come to the Binghamton Zoo first, will receive a $2.00 discount at Roberson and Earth Fest admission is free!

Broome County will also be offering a free shuttle between the Binghamton Zoo, Roberson Museum, and BCC's campus throughout the day. The trolley will leave BCC on the hour between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. It will leave the Binghamton Zoo on the half hour between 10:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. The trolley will stop at Roberson Museum between Earth Fest and the Binghamton Zoo.

Admission to the Binghamton Zoo is only $7.00 for adults, $6.00 for
seniors and students with ID, and $5.00 for children 3-11. As always, children under 2 years old are free!
