Johnson City, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A chance to help young people affected by cancer, as well as potentially winning a new ride is going on right now.

Sean's Standing Strong Memorial Fund began when Sean Shumaker lost his life to cancer in 2012.

Sean's mother Beth Shumaker came by to talk about a raffle to benefit the fund.

A 2010 Bright Yellow Chevrolet Camaro is being auctioned off.

The winner will be drawn March 29 at 2 p.m. at Botnick Chevrolet, 179 Front St., Binghamton.

Tickets are $150 each.

To get one, call (607) 222-9341.

The winner is responsible for taxes, fees, and registrations.

Participants must be 18 or older to win.

Ticket holders need not be present to win.

Proceeds of the raffle will benefit in its entirety Sean's Standing Strong Memorial Fund and the Magic Paintbrush Project's workshops serving medically fragile children and young adults.

From Sean's Standing Strong:
"Each time a child is diagnosed with cancer, a family's life must change gears and shift to a bumpy road. Sean's Standing Strong Dream Car Raffle will support these families as they travel the road to recovery. There's nothing normal about this trip... but your purchase of a raffle ticket can help them fly past the stop lights and take the green to the future."
