(WBNG Binghamton) A group helping cats spayed and neutered. Looks to keep making their cause grow.

We began our group in August of 2012 and our first cat was fixed in October shortly after. Since then we have successfully spayed or neutered 130 cats. Of course we could not afford the normal vet prices as they are way too high so we sent another letter to local vets asking for their help. We sent a second letter this past August which is attached.

We discovered the Cortland SNAP program for low cost spay and neuter for dogs and cats and have been going there regularly for the past year but the distance and their lack of availability is prohibitive so a lot of begging finally brought help from a couple of local vets. Still their price is higher than the donation requested at SNAP so we offer to split the cost with the cat owner - if we have the money. We have been able to get some donations and have gone through them very quickly so always need more if we are to continue this project.

At this point we are not on the internet but are working on that. We do have an official banking account and post office box so if anyone wishes to contribute they can make a check out to Ten Lives and send it to P.O. box 5711 Endicott, NY 13763. If they have questions or think they may need our help they can call me - Barb DeFeo at 648-3490.
