(WBNG Binghamton) The Maine-Endwell School District will hold a "Thankful for M-EALS" fundraiser 3:30 to 7 p.m. Nov. 15 at Bobby's Place, 2906 E. Main St., Endwell.
All proceeds from the event will benefit the district's M-EALS program, which provides food to Maine-Endwell families in need on weekends and holiday breaks when students are not receiving breakfast or lunch at school. The program currently serves 88 families with students attending M-E schools.
The fundraiser will feature music, basket raffles, a 50-50 drawing, a lottery wreath raffle and more.
In addition to the basket and lottery wreath raffles, our HS art students have completed a very cool and unique project and they have agreed to donate their art for auction at the event. They painted bowling pins to represent famous piece of art. The students are in the HS Studio Art Class and their teacher is Lindsay Welch.
Anyone who brings a food donation will receive a free ticket into the basket raffle. Monetary donations will also be accepted.
Donations of theme baskets are needed. Please call Rachel Murat for more information, or to make a donation, (607) 343-9476.
