Benefit for Matthew Porcari's Family

Owego, NY (WBNG Binghamton) A benefit will be held Sunday to help finish Matthew Porcari's home and help his family.

Matthew Porcari, an Owego Fire captain, died while fighting a house fire in Newark Valley.

He helped many after the devastating flood of 2011, while his own home was in need of repair. The benefit will help finish what Matt wanted to finish for his family.

The benefit is Sunday, February 10 from 1 p.m. until 4 p.m. at Owego's Parkview Restaurant, 145 Front Street, Owego.

There will be plenty of food. On the menu is baked ham with glaze, homemade macaroni and cheese, vegetables, fresh bread and dessert.

For adults, it is $11.00 and children eight and under, $5.00.

There will be silent auction items, a 50/50 rafffle and music provided by All Occasions DJ.
